Boys Basketball Round-up: Bobcats Win Two-Of-Three Last Regular Season Games (02/17/18)

The Clarion Area Boys Basketball Team closed out the regular season winning two of their final three games.


The Bobcats traveled to Coudersport on Thursday (February 8th), falling to the Falcons 75-46. Coudy led26-16 after one, 46-24 at halftime and 70-35 after three.

Cal German led Clarion with sixteen points including four treys. Cam Craig followed with 11, while Austin Hummell and Spencer Miller each contributed eight points.

Owen Chambers led the Falcons with 26 points.


Bobcat seniors with their parents on Senior Night

The Cats hosted the Forest Area Fires for Senior Night, on Friday (February 9th) and in a high scoring affair, came away with an 88-69 victory.

Prior to the game the Bobcats honored their seniors, Austin Hummell, Cam Craig, Spencer Miller, Zak Bauer and Jacob Selker, as well as their parents.

Clarion had four players finish in double-figures, three of them seniors, Craig with 23, Hummell with 17 and Miller with fifteen. Freshman Cal German scored sixteen points.

Seth Berlin led Forest Area with a game high thirty-two points. Dillon DiCorpo followed with twenty-one.

The Brockway Rovers came to town on Monday (February 12th) and fell to the Bobcats 62-55. Clarion led 31-26 at the half.

Cam Craig led the Cats with 19 points and ten rebounds. Cal German had 14 and Austin Hummell scored ten.

Carter Adams had 15 and Noah Vokes had 13 for the Rovers.

The Bobcats will now enter the District Nine playoffs.
