Coach Shofestall Shares 2018 Lady Cats Softball Preview (03/25/18)

The Clarion Softball Team is gearing up for the 2018 Season. The team is made up of 16 players which include 6 seniors, 5 juniors, 2 sophomores and 3 freshman.

Due to the inclement weather the team has been indoors for most of their practices but are working hard on the fundamentals of the game and getting better each day.

The team is getting good leadership from its 6 seniors Alexis Constantino, MacKenzie Ditullio, Sydney Kiser, Sadie Rudesyle, Liz Saver and Maya Thornton.

The team has also welcomed 6 new players in juniors Wendy Beveridge, Dorothy Kalinowski, Morgan King and freshmen Brenna Campbell, Ava Cherico and Ava Kiser. These 6 new players have added great depth to the team and are a positive hard working group in practice.

Juniors Carly Best, Lindsey Kemmer and sophomores Kaitlyn Constantino and Tori Vega round out the squad and are expected to make big contributions to this years team.

The whole team has had a good month of practice and are looking forward to the upcoming season. They show great respect to their fellow teammates and coaches and love representing their school and families.

Assisting me are Assistant coach Randy Reynolds who works with the hitters and outfield, pitching coach John Stroup, infield/outfield coach Dave Constantino, catchers coach Kaitlyn Wenner and score keeper Jeff Rudesyle.

The Team opened its season on Saturday March 24th at Oil City. Their home and League opener is on Tuesday March 27th at Weaver Park with a 4:30 start.
