Track and Field Round-up: Clarion Splits With Redbank Valley (04/23/18)

The Clarion Area Boys and Girls Track and Field Teams traveled to Redbank Valley on Wednesday (April 18th) and came away with a split, with the Bobcat Boys winning 82-68 and the Lady Cats falling 88-61.

The Bobcats had three athletes winning two individual events. Brendan Zerfoss won the 100 (11.33) and the 200 (23.29). Frank Weber was victorious in the 1600 (5:12.19) and the 3200 (11:28.72). Gavin Brinkley took both the long jump (18.2) and the triple jump (37.5).

Other individual winners for the Cats were: Nick Shill in the 400 (1:01.93), Noah Schill in the 800 (2:11.56), Cody Burford in the 100 hurdles (22:47) and Marshall Powers in the 300 hurdles (45:66).

Noah and Nick Schill along with Weber and Don Cunningham were victorious in the 4×800 relay (9:27.62). The Bobcats’ 4×100 relay (46.54) and 4×400 relay (3:45.27) also won.

 

Laken Lewis was a quadruple winner for the Lady Cats, capturing the pole vault (10-0), high jump (5-0), long jump (15-0.75) and triple jump (34-5).

Kyara Girvan and Gabby Weaver both won a pair of individual events. Girvan won the 100  (13.70) and 200 (30.60), while Weaver captured both the 100 hurdles (18.52) and 300 hurdles (55.72).

Phylicia Hockman won the 800 (2:40.53).

Girvan, Weaver, Hockman and Ali Troese combined to win the 4×800 relay (4:46.88).
