The Leap of Faith Gymnastics Competitive Team traveled to Sandusky, Ohio with half its competitive Team for the Kalahari Luau in Leo’s Invitational Meet on Sunday (March 10th). More than 3500 gymnasts competed at the 14th Annual Gymnastics Meet.

Callie Lutz of Emlenton competed with less than 3 points of imperfections overall on all four events, placing first on vault (9.425), bars (9.55), floor (9.40) for an astounding all-around score of 37.575 (1st).  The Team Captain, Jorja Parkinson of Fisher, a second-year competitor, also placed first on floor with a 9.45 and an incredible all-around score of 37.025 (1st), also being of near perfection on all four Olympic events.

The Bronze team was unable to place in the Team Awards as there must be at least three competing gymnasts from a team in order to evaluate a team score. The Silver Team scored a Team score of 108.375, placing 7th Team.

The Leap of Faith Gymnastics Competitive Team would like to extend its gratitude to A.B.A.T.E – Clarion County for their generous support and Infusion Bar & Grille of Clarion for helping host a spaghetti dinner fundraiser later this month on Sunday, March 24th, to help fund these girls’ trip to Sandusky, Ohio.

Leap of Faith Gymnastics prides itself in being able to advocate for these girls for the past 10 years, helping to create opportunities for them, otherwise not available in our small community.
