Number Of Clarion Area Athletes Named To 2019 KSAC Spring Sports All-Conference Squads (05/22/19)

The Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference (KSAC) has announced their 2019 Spring Sports All-Conference Squads and a number of Clarion Area Athletes were selected.

GIRLS’ TRACK AND FIELD

Laken Lewis was named the Girls Field MVP. She was named First Team in four events, pole vault, long jump, triple jump and high jump.

Evelyn Lerch was named First Team in both the 100 and 400 and got a Second Team nod in the 200. Phylicia Hockman was named First Team in the 800 and Isabella Scott earned Second Team honors in the 3200.

Cranberry’s Kalynne Ziegler was named Girls Track MVP.

BOYS’ TRACK AND FIELD

The Bobcats had First Team Selections in the three distance events, Noah Schill in the 800, Nick Schill in the 1600 and Nathaniel Lerch in the 3200.

Gavin Brinkley was named to the Second Team in the long jump.

The Bobcat 4×400 relay, consisting of Josh Mitchell, Don Cunningham, Noah Schill and Nick Schill, was a First Team selection and the 4×800 relay, which includes Nick Schill, Don Cunningham, Daniel Ketner and Noah Schill were named Second Team.

There was a three way tie for both the Track MVP and Field MVP. Winners in Track were: Keystone’s Brody Coleman, Redbank Valley’s Keaton Kahle and Karns City’s Hunter Jones. Coleman was also one of the Field MVP’s. Joining him were: Moniteau’s James Parenti and Redbank Valley’s Sam Hetrick.

BASEBALL

The Bobcats had three First Team selections. Chase Kriebel was named as a pitcher and Skylar Rhoades and Nate Datko were named in the outfield.

Rhoades was also selected to the Second Team as a pitcher and Lake Staub was named to the Third Team at catcher.

The Baseball MVP was Moniteau’s Hunter Fitzingo.

SOFTBALL

The Lady Cats had a First Team selection, a Second Team selection and two Third Team selections.

Kaitlyn Constantino was named a First Team pitcher. Carly Best was named as a Second Team infielder.

Tori Vega made the Third Team in the infield and Jordan Best was named Third Team at catcher.

Karns City’s Alyssa Stitt was named Softball MVP.
