Softball: Lady Cats Down Cameron County, Move To D9 Semifinal (05/22/19)

The Clarion Area Lady Cats downed the visiting Lady Raiders of Cameron County 5-0 on Tuesday (May 22nd) at Weaver Park.

Kait Constantino had another great day in the circle, going the full seven innings, striking out sixteen batters.

The Cats scored 4 runs in the bottom of the second and another run in the third.

Ava Kiser drove in 2 runs, for the Cats, on a pair of hits. She also scored a run. Lindsey Kemmer singled, drove in a run and scored once.

Brenna Campbell tripled and scored a run. Jordan Best had a double and a run scored. Carly Best and Constantino each had a single. Payton Simko drove in a run and Noel Anthony scored once.

The Lady Cats move on to the District Nine Class A semifinals, to face A-C Valley. The game is scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday, May 23rd) 3:30PM at Clarion-Limestone.
