Kait Constantino And Chase Kriebel Earn D9Sports.Com Honors (06/24/19)

D9Sports.com recently named their 2019 Softball and Baseball Award winners, and Clarion Area Lady Cat junior Kait Constantino and Bobcat freshman Chase Kriebel were among those honored.

Kait, was named Softball Pitcher of the Year, while Chase was named Baseball Co-Pitcher of the Year and Rookie of the Year.

Kait was 17-6 for the Lady Cats, who were District Nine Class-A runners-up and PIAA State quarterfinalists. She struck out 245 batters, while issuing just 39 walks, in 144 innings. She had an ERA of 1.65.

Chase who joined St. Marys senior Nate Beimel, as Co-Pitcher of the Year, went 4-0 on the season, striking out 97 batters while walking just fourteen. His ERA was 0.32, in 43 1/3 innings of work.

Chase’s offensive stats, which contributed to his being named Rookie of the year, included a .298 batting average, 3 doubles, a triple and fourteen RBIs.

Other Softball Award winners include: Ashley Wruble, from DuBois Central Catholic – MVP and Offensive Player of the Year; Emma Hipps, from Clearfield – Rookie of the Year; and Glenn Barcinas, from Cranberry – Coach of the Year.

The other award winners for Baseball include: Hunter Fitzingo, from Moniteau – MVP; Justin Miknis, from DuBois Central Catholic – Offensive Player of the Year; and James Slay, from Elk County Catholic, Manager of the Year.
