Four Bobcats Named To 2019 TCS/CE Baseball All-Star Team (07/02/19)

The Tri-County Sunday and Courier Express newspapers from DuBois announced their 2019 TCS/CE Baseball All-Star Team in the June 30th edition of the TCS and four Clarion Area Bobcats were among those selected.

Nate Datko

The Bobcats had one First Team, two Second Team and two Honorable Mentions.

Freshman Chase Kriebel was selected as a First Team pitcher.

Skylar Rhoades

The Bobcats’ Second Team selections were two juniors. Nate Datko was named as an outfielder and Skylar Rhoades was chosen as a pitcher.

Datko was also named Honorable Mention, as was sophomore Cole Slaugenhoup.

Player of the Year was Nate Beimel from St. Marys and Coach of the Year was James Slay, Elk County Catholic mentor.

From other area schools:

Clarion-Limestone: Hayden Callen was named First Team pitcher. Bryson Huwar, Ian Larson and Curvin Goheen were named Honorable Mention. From Brookille: Jaced Miner was named to the First Team in the outfield. Tanner LaBenne was named Second Team in the infield and outfield and Brady Caylor was named in the infield. Trenton Gilhousen was named Honorable Mention.

Other schools represented on the team were Brockway, DuBois, DuBois Central Catholic and Johnsonburg.
