Bobcats And Lady Cats Golf Roundup (08/30/19)

Both Clarion Area Golf Teams were in action this week.

The Lady Cats were involved in the KSAC Girls Mega Match, at Foxburg Country Club, on Monday (August 26th).

McKayla Kerle led Clarion with a 49, one stroke off the pace of medalist Kendall Grossman, who recorded a 48. Rachel Howard carded a 55 for the Cats, who don’t compete for team standings.

Moniteau finished first, followed by Keystone and Cranberry.

The next KSAC Girls Mega Match will be on Tuesday (September 3rd) at Clarion Oaks Golf Club

The Bobcats won the Boys KSAC Mega Match, at Hunters Station Golf Course, on Thursday (August 29th), with a team total of 228. Moniteau was second with a 242, followed by Clarion-Limestone with a 268. Cranberry at 303 and Keystone at 319 rounded out the top five.

McKayla Kerle led the Cats with a second place 43, four strokes behind medalist Hayden Seigle from Clarion-Limestone, who fired a 39.

Rounding out the Bobcat scorers were: Lake Staub, who finished in a tie for fourth, at 44; Josh Craig, who tied for eighth, with a 46; Jackson Fox who was ninth at 47; Kyle Porciello, who tied for tenth, with a 48; and Mitch Geiger, who was twelfth, at 54.

The Bobcats currently sit in first place in conference standings, with 35 team points. Moniteau is in second place, at 33. Rounding out the top five are: Clarion-Limestone with 28 team points, Keystone with 23 and Cranberry with points.

The Boys will be back on the links, in KSAC Mega Match #5, at Hi-Level Golf Course on Tuesday (September 3rd).
