Golf Roundup: McKayla Kerle Medalist In Girls Meet, Boys Win Two Behind Josh Craig’s Medalist Rounds (09/15/19)

The Lady Cats Golfers were in one KSAC Mega Match this past week, while the Bobcat Boys Team participated in two KSAC Mega Matches.

The Girls KSAC Mega Match on Monday (September 9th) was held at Hi-Level Golf Course, with Lady Cat McKayla Kerle taking medalist honors, after firing a 44, two strokes ahead of Moniteau’s Kendall Grossman.

Lauren Winters shot a 57 Clarion, while Rachel Howard and Naya Patterson each carded 58’s.

Grossman’s 44 led the Warriors to the win. Keystone was second with Cranberry finishing third.

The Lady Cats do not compete for the team score.

Josh Craig led Clarion to the win, while securing medalist honors, with a 41, in the Boys KSAC Mega Match at Wanango Country Club, on Tuesday (September 10th). The Cats registered a 226, for first place. Moniteau was second with a 252. Clarion-Limestone was third at 271. Keystone at 287 and Cranberry at 320 rounded out the top five.

Craig fired a 38 to lead Clarion to the win in the Mega Match on the back 9, at Clarion Oaks, on Thursday (September 11th), as he tied with Clarion-Limestone’s Hayden Siegel for medalist honors.

The Bobcats finished with a team of 220, with runner-up C-L finishing with a 231. Moniteau (232), Cranberry (309) and Keystone (378) rounded out the top five.

Jackson Fox fired a 40. Lake Staub shot a 45. Rounding out the Bobcats were:McKayla Kerle with a 48, Mitch Geiger at 49 and Kyle Porciello at 52.

The Boys will be at Hi-Level Golf Course, on Monday (September 16th) and the Girls will be at Foxburg Country Club, on Tuesday (September 17th).
