Lady Cats Clinch Another KSAC Championship In Win Over Venango Catholic On Senior Night (10/16/19)

The Clarion Area Lady Cats wrapped up the 2019 Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship with a 3-0 (25-4, 25-8, 25-6) victory over Venango Catholic, at home on Senior Night, Tuesday (October 15th).

Lady Cat eniors – Kyara Girvan, Kaitlyn Constantino, Grace Matson, Maddie Schill

Prior to the game, the Lady Cats honored seniors Kyara Girvan, Kait Constantino, Grace Matson and Maddie Schill who have played an integral part in the team’s success the last several years.

Brenna Campbell scored 17 points (3 aces), dished out 13 assists, had 4 kills and a dig. Kyara Girvan had 15 points (2 aces), 2 assists and two digs. Aryana Grivan scored 12points (8 aces).

Kaitlyn Constantino had 3 points (2 aces), 6 kills and a dig. Payton Simko had scored 3 points (2 aces) and had three kills. Korrin Burns had 15 kills, 2 points and a dig. Grace Ochs had 2 points and a dig. Jordan Best scored 1 point and had a dig. Grace Matson scored 1 point (1 ace). Maddie Schill registered four kills.

The Clarion Area Junior Varsity won their match 2-0 (25-15, 24-10).

Paola Lopez scored 11 points (3 aces), and had 3 kills and a dig. Grace Ochs scored 7 points (3 aces) and had seven assists. Noel Anthony scored 5 points (4 aces), to go along with 2 assists and two digs. Bri Pierce scored five points.

Adia Needham scored 3 points and registered four kills. MacKenzie Aaron had 3 points (3 aces) and Bailey Rupert had 1 point (1 ace) and two kills.

Clarion Area, the Number 1 State seed in Single A travels to State College today (Thursday, October 17th), to take on the Lady Little Lions, the Number 4 Seed in Quad A.
