Lady Cats Finish Third In Prestigious North Allegheny Tournament (10/21/19)

The Clarion Area Lady Cats, made it to the semifinals and finished in third place out of nineteen teams, in the prestigious North Allegheny Volleyball Tournament, on Saturday (October 19th).

A number of state ranked teams from all four classes competed in the tournament, including the Lady Cats who are ranked number one in Single-A.

Clarion defeated Mount Lebanon 1-0 (25-14), Seton LaSalle 2-0 (26-24, 25-16), South Fayette (#10 Triple A) 1-0 (25-19) and Thomas Jefferson (#9 Triple A) 1-0 (25-21).

The Lady Cats split with Peters Township 1-1 (21-25, 25-18).

Clarion fell to Cumberland Valley (#4 Quad A) 0-1 (25-23), North Catholic (#2 Double A) 0-2 (20-25, 17-25) and North Allegheny (#1 Quad A, two-time defending Quad A State Champion) 1-0 (25-13).

The Lady Cats will next compete in the District Nine Class A Championships.
