Clarion Area Junior High Boys Basketball B-Team Finishes Undefeated (03/16/20)
The 2020 Clarion Area Junior High Boys Basketball B-Team recently completed their season, with an unblemished 14-0 record.
Coach Jason Craig shares this summary of the team’s final five games:
Thursday, February 13th: Clarion 43 – Karns City 32
The Jr. High Boys B-Team took on a tough Karns City team. The teams fought hard in a close game, until Clarion pulled away in the fourth quarter to improve to 10 – 0 on the season.
Owen Kriebel and James Keenan lead the way for the Bobcats with 12 points each. Other scorers were Brady Quinn (5), Tanner Miller and Noah Harrison (3), Matt Alston,Wyatt Boyden, Kam Kerle and James McIlwaine (2).
B. Kelly had a game high 14 for the Gremlins

Friday, February 21st: Clarion 31 – Union 22
After 7 days off, the Clarion Boys B-Team played host to the Union Golden Knights for the second time this season.
The game was close at the half, but the Bobcats turned up the defense in the third quarter to keep the streak at 11 games in a row.
Brady Quinn was the top scorer for the Bobcats with 9 points.
Other scorers wereJames Kennan (8), Tanner Miller (4), Noah Harrison and Jameson McIlwaine (3), KamKerle and Isaac Lerch (2).
O. Saylor from Union lead all scorers with 11 points.

Third: Clarion 8 – Union 0
Fourth: Union 6 – Clarion 4

Monday, February 24th: Clarion 27 – North Clarion 14
Clarion came out firing in the first quarter, with a 13 – 2 advantage and rode that to a 27 -14 victory.
The win improves their record to 12 – 0.
Noah Harrison and James Keenan lead all scorers with 8 points each. Other scorers for the Bobcats were Owen Krieble and Tanner Miller (4), Isaac Lerch (2) and JamesonMcIlwaine (1).
Alex B. lead the Wolves with 6 points.

Second: Clarion 8 – North Clarion 8
Third: North Clarion 3 – Clarion 2

Final: Clarion 27 – North Clarion 14
Wednesday, February 26th: Clarion 31 – Forest Area 25
It took overtime, but the Jr. High Boys B-Team fought off a tough Forest team to pull out a 31 – 25 win. The win keeps the undefeated season alive at 13 – 0.
Noah Harrison and James Keenan had game highs of 9 points. Other scorers for theBobcats were Wyatt Boyden and Isaac Lerch (4), Jameson McIlwaine (3) and MattAlston (2).
C. Kuntz had 8 points for the Fires.

Friday, February 28th: Clarion 33 – A-C Valley 26
The Jr. High Boys B-Team was able to complete an undefeated season with a 33 – 26win over the visiting A-C Valley Falcons. The final win sets their record at 14 – 0.
Noah Harrison led the Bobcats in their final game with 10 points. Other scorers wereBrady Quinn (8), James Keenan (6), Owen Kriebel (4), Tanner Miller and Jameson McIlwaine (2) and Isaac Lerch (1).
Wingard had a game high 13 points for the Falcons.
