Donavan Edmonds, Cutter Boggess Named To 2019-20 TCS/CE Wrestling All-Stars (03/15/20)

The Tri-County Sunday and Courier Express newspapers, from DuBois, have announced their 2019-20 Wrestling All-Star Team and two Clarion Area Bobcat Wrestlers have been named.

Senior Donavan Edmonds and junior Cutter Boggess were both named Honorable Mention.

Donavan, a student at Keystone, posted a 22-13 record this season. He finished fourth at 170 in the District Nine Class AA Tournament, earning a spot in the Northwest Regional Tournament.

Donavan wrestled for the Panthers as a freshman and sophomore, and as a member of the Bobcats his junior and senior years. He finished his career with a 50-51 record, posting winning records in each of his last three seasons, going 8-5 as a sophomore and 14-13 as a junior before this season’s 22-13 mark.

Cutter, a student at Clarion Area, posted a 19-12 record this season. He also finished fourth at districts to earn a spot at regionals.

Cutter has put together a solid career thus far. In addition to this season’s record, Cutter registered 19-11 and 20-10 campaigns during his freshman and sophomore seasons. His overall record currently stands at 58-33.

Wrestler of the Year honors were shared, for the second straight season, by Ed Scott, a 152 pounder from DuBois and Colby Whitehill, who wrestled at 285 for Brookville. Both were 40-0 this season, as each won their second consecutive PIAA State Championship.
