Thursday, September 24th

The Clarion-Limestone Boys Soccer team traveled for a last minute “pick up” game against the DuBois Beavers. DuBois came out strong and scored four goals before halftime.

After the half, the Beavers scored another four, with the Lion’s only goal coming from Beau Verdill.

Final: DuBois 8 – Clarion-Limestone 1

Monday, September 28th

The Lions hosted the Forest Area Fires. C-L won 11-1.

Scoring for the Lions (in order) were: Beau Verdill, his first. Then Beau Verdill scored off a corner from Bailee Verdill,

Don Cunningham had the assist for the next Beau Verdill goal. Beau Verdill scored the next two goals. Austin Coull came from the defensive line to score.

Don Cunnigham put one in the net. Blaise Cunnigham had the next goal. Ryker Bingham scored one. Nate Megnin found the net.

Cody Whitling had the last goal for the Lions, with Bailee Verdill getting credit for the assist. Forest Area scored one goal.

Thursday, October 1st

Clarion-Limestone hosted the Punxsutawney Chucks on Senior Night.

The Lions Seniors include:Ryker Bingham, Austin Coull, Don Cunningham, Nicholas Schweitzer and Beau Verdill.

After the senior ceremony, the Lions were the first to score. Bailee Verdill had the first goal of the game. Beau Verdill was credited for the assist.

Punxsy scored from a penalty kick.

Beau Verdill had the next goal right before halftime, making the game 2-1 in favor of the Lions.

Punxsutawney had momentum on their side, for the second half, scoring three unanswered goals.

Despite a very well-played game, the Lions came up short with a final score of 4-2, Chucks.

C-L travels to DuBois Central Catholic on Monday, October 5th and to Redbank Valley on Tuesday, October 6th.
