Volleyball: Lady Cats Down A-C Valley (Posted 10-08-20)

The Clarion Area Lady Cats downed visiting A-C Valley in straight sets (25-8, 25-9, 25-8 on Tuesday (October 6th).

Brenna Campbell, Erica Selfridge and Korrin Burns all had a big all-round match. Brenna had 20 points, 30 assists and 4 digs. Erica scored 10 points (4 aces), to go along with 14 digs and six kills. Korrin had 9 points (2 aces), 17 kills and seven digs.

Jordan Best scored 8 points (1 ace) and had six digs, Aryana Girvan registered 11 kills and 3 points (1 ace) and Ava Kiser scored 4 points (1 ace) and had a dig.

Payton Simko had 2 points and a kill. Noel Anthony had 4 assists and a dig and Grace Ochs had a dig.

The Clarion Junior Varsity also won their contest in straight sets (25-10, 25-18)

Grace Ochs had a good night with 13 points (7 aces), 2 kills and three digs. Taylor Alston had 6 points (2 aces), 8 assists and a kill. Gia Babington scored six points (1 ace), to go along with 3 kills and five digs.

Brianna Pierce had 3 points (1 ace) a kill and a dig. Paola Lopez had 2 points (1 ace) and two kills. Bailey Rupert and Jordan Smith each contributed 2 points (1 ace) and a dig.

The Lady Cats travel to Forest Area today (Thursday, October 8th).
