Bobcat Varsity Grapplers Fall To Rovers, Junior High Wins Their Match

The Clarion Area Bobcat Wrestlers fell to the visiting Brockway Rovers 37-18, on Thursday (February 4th).

Peyton Means had a win by fall at 4:55 for the Cats, in the 189 bout. Zack Keihl and Joshua Beal each received forfeit wins at 120 and 285 respectively. Cutter Boggess fell in a hard fought 6-4 sudden victory decision.

Brockway also had two wins by fall, a major decision and three forfeit wins.

The Junior High Bobcats won a 39-17 decision to the Rovers.

Mason Gourley (122) won by fall in 1:23. Hayden Weber (101) won a 6-1 decision. Logan Powell (108), Jacob Henry (130), Braylon Beckwith (138), Jacob Naser (145) and Hayden Hindman (155) all picked up forfeit wins.

The Rovers registered one fall, one technical fall and one forfeit win.

The Bobcats are scheduled to travel to Derry on Tuesday (February 9th) and to Redbank Valley on Thursday (February 11th).
