Korrin Burns And Revolution Volleyball Club Teammates Place Second In Charm City Tournament

Clarion Area’s Korrin Burns and her Revolution Volleyball Club/Pittsburgh 17 White teammates finished in second place in the Charm City Volleyball Tournament, at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, on Saturday and Sunday, February 6th and 7th.

One hundred eighty-five teams competed in the two-day affair, with twenty-four teams in the team’s divition. Revolution went 6-1 for match play and 12-2 for set play.

Korrin who is an All-Stater, and member of the 2020 PIAA Class-AA State Champion Lady Cats, is joined and mentored on the Revolution team by her sister and Co-Head Coach Ellie Burns (University of Pittsburgh/IUP volleyball alumni), who also was All-State for the Lady Cats and a member of the 2012 Clarion Area State Championship squad.

Evan Proksell (Shaler Area graduate and Thiel men’s volleyball alumni), is the other Co-Head Coach. Annie Bozzo (Shaler Area graduate, Syracuse volleyball alumni) is the Assistant Coach.

Revolution Volleyball Club began in 2007 in Chambersburg, with five teams. The club, under the direction of Executive Director, Dan LaBonte, currently has 20 teams in 2 locations across the state, Chambersburg and Pittsburgh. Revolution is a member of the JVA, AAU, KRVA, and USA Volleyball organizations. Revolution is an official BSN/Nike outfitted club.

Revolution boasts 59 All-State Players, 10 All-Americans, 3 State Players of the Year and 37 State Champions. In addition Revolution alumni include 130+ Collegiate Players, 2 NCAA Division 1 Champions, 3 NCAA All-Americans and one International Professional Player.
