Lady Cats Down Lady Berries In KSAC Basketball Action

Erica Selfridge scored 20 points, pulled down 4 rebounds and came away with five steals to lead the Clarion Area Lady Cats to a 48-39 victory over the homestanding Cranberry Lady Berries.

Payton Simko had 10 points and seven rebounds. Ava Cherico, Noel Anthony, Jordan Best and Taylor Alston chipped in four points apiece, while Gia Babington contributed a three-point field goal.

Clarion led 10-8 after one and, with a 14-6 advantage in the second, the Bobcats led by ten, 24-14 at halftime. After outscoring Cranberry 12-9 in the third, the Cats held a 36-23 lead, heading to the fourth. The Berries outscored Clarion 16-12, in the last stanza, to set the final.

Ava Ferringer led Cranberry with fourteen points.

The Lady Cats will host DuBois on Thursday (February 18th).
