Baseball: Bobcats Down Berries 5-3

The homestanding Clarion Area Bobcats downed the Cranberry Berries 5-3 in KSAC Baseball action, at Clarion County Park on Monday (April 12th).

Each team went scoreless for the first three innings, but the Cats pushed four across in the fourth and another in the fifth, to take a 5-0 lead. The Berries answered with three runs in the sixth to cut the Bobcats lead to 5-3. Neither team scored in the seventh.

The Bobcats had three hits during the contest, one each by Dawson Smail, Devon Lauer and Ryan Alston. Smail, Hunter Craddock and Bryce Brinkley each scored a run.

Craddock, Dauntae Girvan, Brady Quinn, Cameron Lapintoo and Gary Matus scored the Bobcats’ runs.

The Bobcats will host Clarion-Limestone on Thursday (April 14th).
