Softball: Lady Cats Fall To Keystone

The Clarion Area Lady Cats fell to the homestanding Keystone Lady Panthers 8-6, in KSAC softball action, on Monday, April 27th.

The Lady Cats led 3-0 after one. A 3-1 Keystone advantage through the next two innings, had Clarion up 4-3 after three. With two runs by Keystone in the fourth, the Panthers led 5-4, but the Cats regained the lead at 6-5 after scoring one each in the fifth and sixth. Keystone tied the score in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game at 6-all, and after holding Clarion off the board in the top of the the seventh, Leah Exley hit a two-run homerun in the bottom of the innning to give Keystone the win.

Brenna Campbell had 2 hits for the Lady Cats, with 2 runs batted in and and a run scored. Jordan Best had a pair of hits and scored three runs. Mackenzie Aaron singled and doubled and drove in a run.
