Track And Field: North Clarion Splits Meets With Cranberry And Karns City

North Clarion split home track and field meets with Cranberry and Karns City this week.

On Tuesday (April 13th), the She-Wolves downed Cranberry 75-73, while the Wolves Boys fell to the Berries 72-71. Thursday’s (April 15th) meet saw the She-Wolves defeating Karns City 78.5-51.5, with the Wolves Boys Team falling to the Gremlins 94-38.

North Clarion – Cranberry

Girls

Evelyn Lerch won three individual events (100, 200,400). The She-Wolves had five others with individual event wins: Bella Scott (800), Emily McCaslin (high jump), Rebekah Ketner (shot put), Gabby DiDolce (discus) and Alana Brooks (pole vault).

The 1600 relay which included Lerch, Scott, Trinity Thompson and Jordan Hendrickson, was victorious, as was the 3200 which consisted of Scott, Thompson, Rachel Bauer and Brynn Siegel.

Second place finishers included: Thompson (400), Sherbine (200), Bauer (3200), DiDolce (shot put) and McCaslin.

Finishing in third place were: Pack (100 hurdles), Hendrickson (400, 800), Siegel (3200), Brooks (shot put), Ketner (discus) and McCaslin (Javelin).

Boys

Patrick Young (800, discus) and Owen Shaffer (triple jump, high jump) each won two individual events. Aiden Thomas (100 hurdles) and Dawson Hotchkiss (200) also captured individual events. Thomas, Young, Gavin Hoover and Kaine McFarland teamed up to win the 3200 relay.

Second place finishers included: Swanson (100 hurdles), Hotchkiss (100), Hoover (1600), Trougott (400), Thomas (300 hurdles), Evans (800), Mc Farland (3200), Shaffer (long jump), Weckerly (triple jump) and Young (javelin).

Finishing in third were: McFarland (1600), Swanson 300 hurdles), Trougott (200), Hoover (3200) and Naser (shot put).

North Clarion – Karns City

Girls

Thompson (400, 800) and Rachel Bauer (1600, 3200) came away with a pair of individual wins. Others with individual wins included: Ketner (shot put) and DiDolce (discus).

The 1600 relay (Scott, Thompson, Hendrickson and Lerch) and the 3200 relay (Scott, Thompson, Siegel and Bauer) were both victorious.

Second place finishers included: Hendrickson (400, 1600), Lerch (100), Culp (300 hurdles), Scott (800), Sherbine (200), Siegel (3200), McCaslin (high jump), DiDolce (shot put), Ketner (Discus) and Brooks (pole vault).

Third place finishers were: Pack (100 hurdles), Sherbine (100), Siegel (1600), Lerch (800), Brooks (shot put – tie) and McCaslin (pole vault).

Boys

Allen Johnston (200, long jump) was a double winner. Also coming away with individual wins were: Hoover (1600), McFarland (3200) and Shaffer (high jump).

Finishing in second place were: Johnston (100), McFarland (1600), and Young (400).

Third place finishers were: Thomas (100 hurdles), Naser (100), Trougott (400) and Hoover (3200).
