Track And Field: Wolves And She-Wolves Sweep Knights And Damsels

The North Clarion Boys’ and Girls’ Track and Field Teams traveled to Rimersburg on Wednesday (April 7th) and came away with a sweep of Union. The Wolves downed the Knights 77-68, while the She-Wolves defeated the Damsels 102.5-45.5.

Boys

Patrick Young was a triple winner for the Wolves, taking the 800 and discus, and teaming with Aiden Thomas, Gavin Hoover and Kaine McFarland to win the 3200 relay. Hoover was a double winner, also taking the 3200.

Dawson Hotchkiss and Allen Johnston were also double winnesr, with Hotchkiss finishing first in the 200 and Johnston winning the 100; they teamed up with Noah Naser and Gus Trougott for a victory in the 400 relay. Also taking a first was Parker Evans, who won the pole vault.

Finishing in second for the Wolves were: McFarland (1600, 3200), Nasser (discus, shot put), Hotchkiss (100), Thomas (300 hurdles), Johnston (long jump), Evans (triple jump) and Young (Javelin).

Finishing with thirds were: Thomas (110 hurdles), Hoover (1600), Custer (3200), Weckerly (triple jump) and Schill (shot put). Shawna Pack

Girls

Evelyn Lerch was a quadruple winner, taking the 100, 200 and 400, and teaming up with Bella Scott, Trinity Thompson and Jordan Hendrickson on the victorious 1600 relay. Scott was a triple winner, also teaming with Thompson, Brynn Siegel and Rachel Bauer to claim the 3200 relay, and winning the 800.

Thompson was a double winner as was Bauer, who also claimed the 3200 and Hendrickson, who won the 1600.

The She-Wolves had five other individual winners. Shawna Pack won the 100 hurdles, Rebekah Ketner won the shot put, Gabby DiDolce claimed the discus, Maya Wilshire claimed the triple jump and Alana Brooks took the pole vault.

Second place finishers included: McCaslin (pole vault, high jump and javelin), Thompson (400 and 800), Sherbine (100), Aaron (3200), Bauer (1600), Culp (100 hurdles), DiDolce (shot put), Schmader (triple jump) and Frederick (300 hurdles).

Placing third were: Sherbine (100), Pack (3200) and Frederick (100 hurdles).
