Lady Cats Drop District Nine Class-A Softball True Second Game To Lady Lions

The Clarion Area Lady Cats 2021 softball season ended as they fell to the next door neighbor Clarion-Limestone Lady Lions 6-2 in the District Nine Class-A true second game, at Heindl Field in DuBois today, (Wednesday, June 2nd). The Lady Lions will now advance to play Cambridge Springs out of District Ten on Monday (June 7th).

C-L scored a run in the top of the second, when Frances Milliron singled to drive in Allyssa Wiant. They followed that, in the third with Wiant hitting a double to drive Kendall home, giving the Lions a 2-0 lead.

Clarion cut the lead in half in the bottom of the inning, when Makenzie Aaron singled to right, driving in Bri Forrest.

Neither team scored in the fourth.

The Lady Cats tied the score at 2-all in the bottom of the fifth, with Noel Anthony driving Aaron home with a double.

The score held until the top of the seventh, with the Lady Lions scoring four runs, setting the final at 6-2.
