Boys Soccer: Clarion-Limestone Downs Redbank Valley

The Clarion-Limestone Boys Soccer Team downed Redbank Valley 5-1 on Thursday (September 16th). Mindi Verdill shares this article.

After Monday’s hard fought loss at Karns City, the Lions traveled to Redbank Valley on Thursday afternoon.

Despite some great defense from Peyton Smith and Brock Smith and goalie Tyler Bingham, Redbank was the first to score in the game. It would be their only goal.

The Lions first goal was scored by Bailee Verdill with Cody Whitling getting the assist. Verdill had the second goal of the game unassisted. 

The halftime score was 2-1, Lions.

Cody Whitling had the next goal for C-L. Then Verdill had another unassisted goal to give him a hat trick for the game.

Freshman Wyatt Boyden had the final goal of the game for the Lions for a final score of: Clarion-Limestone 5 – Redbank Valley 1

C-L travels to Ridgway next Thursday (September 23rd).
