There was a welcomed sighting Thursday at Clarion County Park, as Gavin Hoover returned to the cross country course after an extended illness as the Bobcat ran a dual meet against Moniteau. It was great to see him back in the pack and leading his teammates. He celebrated as the overall winner in the varsity boys race.

Hannah Burgoon, a returning state qualifier from Moniteau was your overall winner in the girls race. On Tuesday, new comer, senior Ryan Alston was your over-all winner setting a big personal record, breaking the 20 minute threshold, as the Bobcats welcomed Karns City to town.

Among the younger runners, first year runner Hayden Weber has continued to impress and is currently undefeated in dual meets. He is supported by a strong group of eighth graders including Jonas Wilshire who has made tremendous  strides over the past year.

On the girls side, a pair of Anna’s, Anna Hoover and Anna O’Toole have been a tremendous One-two punch for the Bobcats! In fact, in both meets this week, the young Bobcat ladies took the top 4 spots with the aforementioned pair of Anna’s, Raven Cunningham and Maggie Snodgrass.

The Junior high boys remain undefeated in  dual meets!

(Clarion was at Hershey to run against some of the best in the State on the State Course,on Saturday (September 25th and will return to before returning to KSAC Action with powerhouse Cranberry, on Tuesday (September 28th).
