Kam Kerle Leads Bobcat Golfers To Win Final KSAC Boys Mega Match

Kam Kerle fired a 39, to claim medalist honors, in leading the Clarion Area Bobcats to a win in the final Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference Boys Mega Match, at Clarion Oaks Golf Club on Thursday (September 23rd). The Cats finished the KSAC season undefeated, clinching the championship one match earlier, on Monday (September 20th) at Wanango Country Club.

Clarion’s Devon Lauer and Moniteau’s Jacob Felsing tied for second, in Thursday’s match with each carding 40s. Bobcat Owen Kriebel was fourth with a 41. Dane Wenner from Cranberry shot a 45 for fifth place. Mckayla Kerle had a 46 for the Cats, to tie Forest Area’s Ethan Carll for sixth, while Clarion’s Avery Kline recorded a 47, to finish in a three-way tie for eighth, with Nick Aaron from Clarion-Limestone and Dawson Wallace from Moniteau for eighth.

Ryan Alston had a 59, for the Bobcats.

Clarion shot a 213 as a team. The rest of the Top Five included Moniteau (250), in second; Cranberry (254), in third; Clarion-Limestone (256), in fourth; and Forest Area (269), in fifth.

The Bobcats had six golfers finish in the Top Ten for the season: Kam Kerle who was second, Lauer who finished third, Mckayla Kerle who finished in fourth, Kriebel who was sixth and Lucas Mitrosky in ninth place.

Others in the Top Ten were season medalist Jacob Felsing of Moniteau (39.50) who just edged out Kam Kerle (39.89) and Lauer (40.0); Cranberry’s Dane Wenner – fifth: and Moniteau’s Dave Wallace and Venango Catholic’s Colin Liederbach, who tied for tenth.

The Top Five Teams for the conference season were Clarion followed by Cranberry – second, Clarion-Limestone – third, Moniteau – fourth and Forest Area – fifth.
