Clarion-Limestone Boys Soccer Downs Forest Area 8-0, Falls 1-0 To Karns City

(By Clarion Sports Zone correspondent Mindi Verdill) The Clarion-Limestone Boys Soccer Team played against Forest Area on Monday, September 27th. The game was originally scheduled to be played at Forest Area, but a referee shortage put them at the Clarion High School field.

Bailee Verdill had all three goals in the first half of play, giving the Lions a three point to zero lead at halftime.

Cody Whitling was the first to score after the half, followed by Thomas Uckert, who scored off of a throw in from Wyatt Boyden. Boyden then had the assist on Nate Megnin’s goal.

Verdill added two more goals to the game, making the final score C-L Lions 8 Forest 0.

Wednesday night, September 29th, the Lions hosted the Karns City Gremlins.

After a hard fought game the Lions came up short. Karns City 1 – Clarion-Limestone 0


The boys have two home games this coming week, Tuesday(October 5th) against Redbank at 6:00PM and Thursday (October 7th) against DuBois, also at 6:00PM.
