Volleyball: Bobcats Down Warriors 3-0

The Clarion Area Bobcats downed the homestanding Moniteau Warriors 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-20), on Thursday (October 14th).

Noel Anthony had a big night with 10 points (2 aces), 27 assists, 8 digs and a kill. Adia Needham scored 9 points (4 aces) and had three kills. Brianna Pierce had 8 points (3 aces) 1 assist and a dig. Jordan Best registered 6 points (1 ace), 2 assists and four digs.

Korrin Burns recorded 5 points (3 aces), 24 kills and a dig. Aryana Girvan scored 4 points (1 ace), to go along with 5 kills and a dig. Grace Ochs had 3 points, 5 assists and a pair of digs. Payton Simko scored 1 point, and had 8 assists and 3 digs, and Taylor Alston amassed three kills.

The Clarion Area Junior Varsity also won their match in straight sets (25-14, 25-13)

Hadlee Campbell had 14 points (10 aces), 2 assists and three digs. Brenna Armstrong scored 11 points (4 aces) and had two kills. Grace Ochs registered 7 points (4 aces), 7 assists and a dig.

Gia Babington had 1 point, 4 kills and a dig. Sophie Babington recorded 1 point and two digs, and Alicyn Burford had six kills.

The Bobcat Junior Varsity will participate in the Forest Hills JV Tournament on Saturday (October 16th), while both the Varsity and Junior Varsity will travel to Union next Tuesday (October 19th).
