Clarion Head Coach Lee Weber had this to say about his team’s performance, “With only nine wrestlers, we had six who placed in the top half of the tournament.  Mason Gourley and Logan Powell, both freshmen, dominated their weight class.  Both had total control of their opponents in the finals and then locked on the cross-face cradle to record pins for First Place!

“Josh Beal lost two close overtime matches to higher seeds.  He was one move away in both of them.  He is getting tough to score on.

“Logan Edmonds (sixth place), Breckin Rex (seventh place), and Caleb Edmonds (eighth place) all wrestled hard, but also had some close losses.

“Seth Weckerly, Holden Sparks, and Ashton Rex gave good efforts but needed to be more prepared at the beginning of the match.”

The Bobcats’ next match is at Brockway, Tuesday, January 25th, at 6 PM.

(Thanks to Ashby Diaz for the images. Congratulations, Logan, Mason and all the Bobcats!!!!)
