Bobcats Down Berries In KSAC Boys Basketball Action

The Clarion Area Bobcats downed the visiting Cranberry Berries, 59-43, in Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference boys’ basketball action, on Tuesday (January 25th).

Three Bobcats scored in double-figures, Gabe Simko with 18, Christian Simko with 15 points and Devon Lauer with eleven.

Dawson Smail added 9 points, Derek Smail had 4 and Ryan Alston contributed three points.

Clarion led 19-8 after one. Cranberry held a 19-16 edge in the second to trail 35-27 at the half. The Cats held a 42-35 lead heading to the fourth after a one-point, 8-7 Berries advantage in the third period. But the Bobcats outscored the Berries 17-8, in the final stanza, to set the final.

Noel Bunyak was Cranberry’s top scorer with ten points. Ethan Merryman followed with eight.

The Bobcats are scheduled to travel to Redbank Valley on Thursday (January 27th).
