Girls Basketball: Bobcats Down Berries

The Clarion Area Bobcats used a balanced attack to down the homestanding Cranberries, 31-17, in Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference basketball action, on Wednesday (January 26th).

Gia Babington led Clarion with 8 points, including two 3-pointers). Rebekah Ketner followed with seven. Payton Simko and Noel Anthony bucketed 4 points each, followed by Jordan Best and Sophie Babington with three apiece. Sophie had a trey. Taylor Alston had two points.

The Cats led 13-2 after one and after registering an 8-4 edge in the second, they led 21-6 at halftime A 10-2 Clarion advantage in the third, put their lead at 31-8 heading to the fourth. The Berries closed out the scoring with nine points in the final stanza, setting the 31-17 final.

Aryanna Ferringer led the Berries with eight points.

Clarion is scheduled to host Redbank Valley, tomorrow (Friday, January 28th).
