Clarion Area Girls’ Basketball Season Comes To An End With District Playoff Loss To Union

The Clarion Area Bobcats season came to an end, as they dropped a 37-34 decision to Union in a District Nine Class-A Fifth Place consolation bracket game, on Tuesday (March 1st) at A-C Valley High School.

Union led by two, 8-6 after one. With both teams scoring 8 points in the second, Union led 16-14 at halftime.

The Bobcats outscored the Damsels 10-7 in the third, to carry a one-point, 24-23 lead headed to the final stanza, but a 14-10 Union edge in the fourth set the final.

Jordan Best led the Cats with a game-high sixteen points.

Kennedy Vogle led Union with thirteen.
