Bobcats Down Falcon/Knights In KSAC Baseball Clash

The Clarion Area Bobcats Baseball Team downed the visiting A-C Valley/Union Falcon-Knights, 7-3, in a Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference match-up at Clarion County Park, on Tuesday (May 11th).
Dawson Smail and Cam Lapinto led the Bobcats, with Smail delivering on 4 hits, two of them doubles, 2 runs scored and an RBI, while Lapinto had 3 hits, including a double, and three RBIs.
Both teams scored a run in the first. But after holding A-C Valley/Union scoreless in the top of the second the Bobcats put up four runs in the bottom of the inning to take a 5-1 lead. Both teams scored a run in the third. With Clarion up 6-2, the Falcon-Knights scored a run in the fourth, closing their deficit to 6-3. The Cats put another run across the plate in the bottom of the sixth to set the 7-3 final.
The Bobcats held an 11 to 5 edge in hits.
Ryan Alston had 2 hits and scored two runs for Clarion, and was also the winning pitcher. Chase Kriebel singled and drove in a run, Noah Harrison had a hit. Tanner Miller scored a run and had an RBI and Devon Lauer drove in a pair.
Gary Amsler led the Falcon-Knights with a pair of doubles and an RBI.
The Bobcats are now 9-3 and 6-2 in the KSAC.
Clarion is scheduled to host Clarion-Limestone at Clarion County Park, today (Wednesday, May 11th) at 4:30PM. D9and10Sports.com is to broadcast the game.
