Bobcats Down Falcons In KSAC Softball Action

The Clarion Area Bobcats downed the visiting A-C Valley Falcons 9-5, in Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference softball action, at Paul A. Weaver Field on Thursday (May 18th).

Neither team scored in the first two innings, but A-C Valley scored two runs in the top of the third, with Clarion scoring a run in the bottom of the inning. The Bobcats added a run in the fourth to tie the game at 2-all. A 2-1 Clarion edge in the fifth gave the Cats a 4-3 lead. A big five run fifth by the Bobcats moved their lead to 9-3.

Payton Simko homered for and scored two more runs for the Cats. Kylee Beers had two doubles and a single, and scored twice. Bri Forrest also had two doubles and a single. She drove in a run. Hadley Campbell had a pair of hits, scored twice and drove in a run. Noel Anthony singled and had an RBI. Jordan Best singled and scored a run. Emily Troese scored a run and had an RBI.

The Bobcats held their Senior Day festivities, honoring seniors Makenzie Aaron, Jordan Best, Noel Anthony, Kylee Beers, Payton Simko and Kaylee Hiles and their parents prior to the game.
