Bobcat Golfers Win Third Straight KSAC Boys Mega Match

Four Clarion Area golfers finished in the top six places as the Bobcats won their third straight Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference Meg Match, held on Tuesday, August 8th, at Foxburg Country Club.

Bobcats, Kameron Kerle and Devon Lauer and Moniteau’s Jacob Frelsing finished in a three-way tie for second place, with each carding a 37, one shot off the pace of medalist Chloe Fitch from Karns City.

Lucas Mitrosky and McKayla Kerle finished in fifth and sixth place respectively, with Lucas recording a 38 and McKayla a 39.

The rest of the Top 10 individuals were Cranberry’s Dalton Wenner in seventh place at 40; Cranberry’s Dane Wenner eighth at 41; Clarion-Limestone’s Nick Aaron ninth at 42; and Cranberry’s Cayden Baker and North Clarion’s Ethan Carll tied for tenth at 44.

Also scoring for the Bobcats was Tanner Miller with a 50. Avery Kline finished with a 54 for Clarion.

The Bobcats finished at 201, to claim the win. Cranberry was second at 229, Clarion-Limestone was third at 242, Moniteau was fourth at 243, A-C Valley/Union was fifth at 266, North Clarion finished seventh at 268m /Forest Area was seventh at 283 and Keystone finished eighth at 294. Karns City didn’t have enough golfers to compete for the team standings.
