Bobcat Golfers Still Undefeated After Victory In KSAC Boys Mega Match #7

The Clarion Area Golf Team continued their winning ways by claiming the top spot, in the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference’s (KSAC) Boys Mega Match #7, at Wanango Country Club, in Reno, on Monday (September 13th). With the win, the Cats remain undefeated at 7-0 in KSAC play.

The Bobcats finished with a team total of 211, followed by Moniteau (237), Clarion-Limestone (248), Cranberry (251), North Clarion (263), Forest Area (289), Keystone (295) and A-C Valley/Union (300). Karns City didn’t have enough golfers to compete for team standings.

Medalist Kameron Kerle led the Bobcats, shooting a 37. Teammate, Devon Lauer tied Moniteau’s Jacob Felsing, two strokes back at 39, for second place. Ethan Carll from North Clarion was fourth, with a 42.

Clarion’s McKayla Kerle shot a 44, tying Cranberry’s Dane Wenner and Moniteau’s Dawson Wallace for fifth place.

Bobcat Tanner Miller tied Clarion-Limestone’s Nick Aaron and Cranberry’s Dalton Wenner at 45, for eighth.

Clarion’s Lucas Mitrosky and A-C Valley/Union’s Hudson Bliss each shot 46, to tie for eleventh place.

James Keenan recorded a 47 for the Bobcats, to tie Cranberry’s Cayden Baker and Karns City’s Joe O’Donnell for thirteenth.

The Bobcats lead in the season standings, with two Mega Matches to go, this Thursday (September 15th) at Clarion Oaks and next Monday (September 19th) at Foxburg Country Club.

Clarion currently has 63 season points, followed by Moniteau at 53, Clarion-Limestone at 44, Cranberry at 43 and North Clarion at 41.

Bobcats Kameron Kerle and Lauer are one and two in the individual season standings, with Kerle on top at 263 and Lauer at 270.

Moniteau’s Jacob Felsing is currently third at 272. Clarion’s McKayla Kerle is fourth at 279 and rounding out the current Top Five is Karns City’s Chloe Fritch at 293.

In addition to KSAC play, the Bobcats will be taking part in two tournaments later this week. On Friday (September 16th), they will compete in the Kane Invitational and on Saturday and Sunday (September 17th and 18th) they will be at the Meadville Tournament.
