Bobcat Harriers Fall To Wolves

The Clarion Area Bobcats fell to the homestanding North Clarion Wolves 22-33, in KSAC Boys Cross Country action, on Tuesday (September 13th).

Hayden Weber (19:19) led the Bobcats with a fourth place finish. Jonah Wilshire (19:19) followed in fifth. Ben Lambert (20:04) was sixth, Josh Turner (20:06) finished eighth and Caleb Turner (20:50) was tenth.

Also competing for the Cats were: Nathan Frederick (21:24), Ben Aaron (22:02) and Owen Wilson (36:58).

North Clarion claimed the first three places, with Aiden Thomas (18:41) in first, Kaine McFarland (18:45) in second and Gabriel Fair (18:55) in third. Dane Sliker was seventh and Jackson Nicewonger was ninth, to round out the Wolves scoring.

Not enough runners for either school had enough participants in the Girls race for team score.

North Clarion’s Katie Bauer (23;06 was first. Teammate Kaylee Castner (27:57) finished second and Clarion’s Cece Bowser (29:13) was third.

North Clarion won the Junior High Girls race, 18-37.

Madison Schill (18:38) was the top Clarion runner finishing in fifth. Maggie Snodgrass (19:21) finished in sixth, Callie Snodgass (19:44) placed seventh, Kara Wilson (22:03) was ninth and Ashlyn Clark (22:09) rounded out the Bobcats’ scoring in tenth place.

North Clarion’s Abby Hastings (15:43) finished first. Other scorers for the Wolves included: Evelyn Carroll in second place, Adeline Best in third, Grace Carroll in fourth and Sarah Deitz in eighth.

Their was no team total for the Junior High Boys, as Clarion Area didn’t have enough runners participate.

For the Bobcats, Chris Kim (15:18) was second, Anthony Bartley (16:12) was fourth, Wyatt Aaron (17:00) finished sixth and Michael Troese (24:00) was ninth.

North Clarion’s Dean Sliker (14:41) finished first. Michael Swanson was second, Quinton Mellon finished fifth, Cory Esquivel was placed seventh and Konner Burkhardt was eighth.

The Bobcats will compete at the Bradford Invitational on Saturday (September 17th).
