Bobcat Harriers Win 2022 KSAC Boys Opener

The Clarion Area Bobcat Boys Cross Country Team won their Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference season opener, at home at Clarion County Park, on Wednesday, August 31st, downing the Keystone Panthers, 22-38.

Keystone’s Jonathan Hansford (19:48) finished in first place. but the Cats took the next three places.

Jonas Wilshire (20:03) finished second, Hayden Weber (20:36) was third and Josh Turner (21:27) took fourth.

Keystone’s Tyler Pheiff (21:40) finished fifth. The Bobcats took the next three slots. Caleb Turner (21:41) was sixth, Ben Lambert (21:59) finished seventh and Nathan Frederick (22:00) was eighth.

Keystone’s Drew Crompton (22:12) was ninth.

Other Bobcat runners were Ben Aaron (23:15), Ky Clark (23:58), Greyson Aaron (25:09) and Owen Wilson (47:15).

There was no Girls scoring held, as Clarion had no runners. But Keystone’s Samantha Heller (26:30) had the number one time.

There was no scoring held for the Junior High Boys. The Bobcats had three runners, Chris Kim (13:10) in fifth, Anthony Bartley (13:12) in sixth and Wyatt Aaron (13:21) in seventh. Keystone’s Joey Spence (11:49) was first.

Keystone won the Junior High Girls meet 38-39.

Clarion’s top finisher was Maggie Snodgrass (13:59) in third. Callie Snodgrass (14:16) was fourth, Elena Sheftic (14L35) was fifth, Emily O’Toole (15:43) finished seventh, Julie Diehl (16:45) was ninth and Eve Gilmore (17:28) was tenth.

Keystone’s Charli Ames (11:56) was first. Other Panthers in the top ten: Isabella Brandon (13:52) was second, Airabella Weaver (15:10) finished sixth and Olivia Gwin (16:16) was eighth.
