Bobcats Do Well At 2022 Kane Golf Invitational, Kameron Kerle Finishes As Runner-Up; McKayla, Third

The Clarion Area Golf Team competed at the Kane Invitational Golf Tournament at Kane Country Club, on Friday, September 16th.

There were eighteen schools represented in the tournament, Clarion, Clarion-Limestone, Keystone, Cranberry, Forest Area, Kane (host school), St. Mary’s, Coudersport, Elk County Catholic, Smethport, Ridgway, Brookville, DuBois, Oswayo Valley, Clearfield, Brockway, Bradford, and Cameron County

There was no team competition, so the sixty-five golfers competed as individuals.

The Bobcats’ Kameron Kerle carded a (39, 38) 77, to finish as the Runner-Up, just one stroke behind, Medalist Jake Franz from Bradford, who shot a (39, 37) 76.

One stroke behind Kameron, in Third Place was his sister McKayla recorded a (38, 40) 78.

Clarion had four other golfers in the competition, with all shooting rounds under 90.

Devon Lauer carded a (41, 42) 83. Lucas Mitrosky shot a (41, 46) 87. James Keenan registered a (42, 46) 88 and Tanner Miller had a (49, 40) 89.

Other golfers from Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference (KSAC) schools competing included:

Clarion-Limestone: Nick Aaron (45, 45) 90, Jack Craig (50, 51) 101 and Jack Callen (57, 55) 112.

Keystone: Braden Baylor (45, 54) 99, Tanner Vickers (48, 58) 106 and Taylor Rupp (56, 53) 109.

Cranberry: Dane Wenner (42, 42) 84, Cayden Baker (43, 48) 91 and Dalton Wenner (43, 49) 92.

Forest Area: Keyon Custer (44, 50) 94, Ty Brown (48, 48) 96 and Ezra Busch (52, 60) 112.
