Volleyball: Bobcats Fall To Conneaut Area
The Clarion Area Bobcat Volleyball Team fell to the homestanding Conneaut Area Eagles, in straight sets (28-30, 19-25, 16-25) on Thursday (September 28th).
The first set was a marathon, with neither team holding more than a three-point lead throughout.
The second set saw the Eagles jump out to an early lead, but the Bobcats bounced back and led as late as 15-14. But the Eagles closed the set out with a 10-4 run.
Conneaut Area led throughout the third set to seal the match.
For Clarion:
Grace Ochs dished out 25 assists, scored 4 points (2 aces) and had five digs. Sophia Babington had 11 points (1 ace), an assist and two digs.

Aryana Girvan delivered on 13 kills, 7 digs and two points. Hadlee Campbell had 7 kills, 9 digs and two points. Bri Pierce recorded 13 digs.

Adia Needham scored 2 points, to go along with a dig. Taylor Alston had two kills and four digs. Natalie Durish scored a point and had a dig.

The Bobcat Junior Varsity won their match in three sets (22-25, 26-24, 15-10).
For Clarion:
Rhiannon Copenhaver scored 7 points, dished out 18 assists and gathered fifteen digs. Anna O’Toole had 7 points, 9 kills and six digs. Natalie Durish scored 6 points and had 7 kills and four digs. Lauren Brinkley scored 5 points, to go along with 2 digs and a kill.
Alicyn Burford scored 4 points. Kelsey Best had 4 digs, an assist and scored a point. Alivia Diehl had three kills.
The Bobcats are scheduled to host A-C Valley on Tuesday (October 4th).
