Bobcats Down Falcons In KSAC Volleyball Matchup

The Clarion Area Bobcats downed the visiting A-C Valley Falcons in straight sets (25-20, 25-14, 25-21), in a Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference (KSAC) match, on Tuesday (October 4th).

The Bobcats had a number of big performances.

Grace Ochs scored 16 points (1 ace), dished out 32 assists and gathered six digs. Adia Needham had 9 points (3 aces), 6 kills and five digs. Aryana Girvan knocked down 15 kills and had a dig. Bri Pierce delivered on 7 points, 8 digs and two assists.

Sophie Babington delivered 7 points (2 aces), 2 kills and three digs. Taylor Alston had 10 digs, 5 kills, 2 points (1 ace) and an assist. Hadlee Campbell provided 9 kills and five digs.

Natalie Durish scored 2 points (1 ace) and collected three digs. Rhiannon Copenhaver scored 2 points and had a dig. Anna O’Toole knocked down a kill.

The Bobcat Junior Varsity also won in straight sets (25-20, 25-8).

For Clarion: Copenhaver had 12 points (5 aces), 5 kills and a pair of digs. Alicyn Burford scored 8 points (1 ace) and had two kills. Lauren Brinkley scored 7 points (1 ace), had a pair of kills and a dig. Durish delivered 5 points (2 aces), five kills and two digs.

O’Toole had 2 kills and a dig. Kelsey Best scored a point and Rihanna Dittman had a dig.

The Bobcats are scheduled to travel to Tyrone today (Wednesday, October 5th).
