Boys Soccer: Lions Fall to ECC

The Lions hosted Elk County Catholic Monday night (October 3rd) at the Clarion High School field. Despite playing an incredible game of soccer, the Lions came up a little short with a final score of: Elk County Catholic 5 – Clarion-Limestone 4.

ECC had the first two goals of the game.

The Lions first goal was from Bailee Verdill with Wyatt Boyden with the assist. The second goal was from Boyden with Verdill getting the assist.

ECC answered with their third goal of the game, followed by a Lion third goal from Brendan Bettwy.

ECC was able to score before halftime.

After the half, ECC scored their fifth and final goal of the game.

The Lions final goal of the game was from a Verdill penalty shot.

Even though the boys came up a little short, it was a well played soccer match between the two teams.

Final score: ECC 5 – C-L 4

The boys travel to DuBois High School Thursday night (October 5th) for a 7:30 game time.
