Bobcats Down Knights In KSAC Boys Basketball Clash

The Clarion Bobcats downed the visiting Union Knights 52-28 in, Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference action, on Friday (January 27th).

The Bobcats led 20-16 after one and with a 16-9 second quarter advantage Clarion took a 36-25 lead into the half. With a 21-13 Union edge in the third the Bobcats had a three-point 49-46 lead heading to the fourth, where a 13-12 Clarion advantage set the final.

Devon Lauer led the Bobcats with 21 points, including three baskets from 3-point range, Gabe Simko had twenty points.

Derek Smail and Bryce Brinkley had eight points apiece. Brinkley had a pair of treys. Dawson Smail added 5 points, with on bucket from long range.

Union was led by Payton Johnston’s game-high 23 points. Skylar Roxbury added 16 and Dawson Camper had eleven.

Clarion will travel to Clarion-Limestone on Tuesday (January 31st).
