Boys Basketball: Bobcats Down Berries
The visiting Clarion Bobcats downed the Cranberry Berries 74-47, in a KSAC Boys Basketball matchup on Tuesday (January 17th).
The Cats led 24-12 after one and had an 18-14 second period edge, to lead 42-26 at halftime. Clarion outscored Cranberry 22-10 in the third to to lead 64-36 heading to the fourth. An 11-10 Berries’ edge in the fourth set the final.
Devon Lauer led Clarion with a game-high 24 points including six from three-point range. Gabe Simko followed with 14 points, while also dishing out four assists. Bryce Brinkley had 11 points, including 3 treys and also had four assists.
Logan MacKinley scored eight points. Derek Smail had 7 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and four steals. Dawson Smail scored 4 points, handed out 6 assists and collected four steals.
Owen Kriebel had 3 points, Tanner Miller 2 point and Dauntae Girvan one point.
Ethan Merryman led Cranberry with eleven points.
The Bobcats, now 10-4, are set to host Redbank Valley on Thursday (January 19th).
