Boys Basketball: Bobcats Down Gremlins

The visiting Clarion Bobcats downed the Karns City Gremlins 38-31, in Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference basketball action on Tuesday (January 3rd).

The Gremlins held a 7-3 lead after one period, but the Bobcats posted a 9-4 edge in the second, to lead by one, 12-11 at the half. With an 18-14 edge in the third period, the Cats held a 30-25 lead heading to the final stanza. An 8-6 Clarion advantage in the fourth set the final.

Dawson Smail paced the Bobcats with a game-high eighteen points. Three of his buckets were from three-point range. Dawson also had 8 rebounds and four steals. Devon Lauer followed with thirteen, with one bucket from behind the arc. Gabe Simko contributed seven points for the Clarion.

Micah led the Gremlins with thirteen points.
