Clarion County Wreaths Across America Matching Challenge (2-For-1) In Affect Through January 17th
(By Noreen Shirey – Clarion County Wreaths Across America Coordinator)
Dear Fellow Patriot,
I wanted to take a moment to wish you a Happy New Year. December 17, 2022 marked the 4th year for me doing Wreaths Across America in our hometown. I have, with the help of my co-coordinators, been able to offer this mission to 16 cemeteries. For a total 1,973 veterans we were able to honor with a holiday wreath. Wreaths are made in Maine, delivered for free and placed by volunteers.
We have also been spreading the news and offering assistance to new coordinators throughout the county. Many others have taken on the challenge of Remembering the Fallen, Honoring those who Serve and Teaching the next Generation. Over 50 cemeteries in Clarion County participated this past December.
Right now, Wreaths Across America is offering a wreath match program, meaning when you sponsor a wreath(s) and they match your sponsorship to your cemetery. Essentially, buy one get one free; your donation is doubled. $15 becomes $30, $50 becomes a $100 and $500 becomes $1,000 and so on. It is a great opportunity and really helps us meet the goal of having a wreath for every veteran. This great deal is only available until January 17th.
National Wreaths Across America day this year is December 16th. This year’s theme is Serve and Succeed.
If you support this mission, please don’t delay and sponsor your wreath as soon as possible. Thanks again for supporting this mission and honoring our hometown heroes. If you have any questions feel free to call: Noreen Shirey (814-229-6317)
