Girls Basketball: Clarion Falls To Karns City

The Clarion Area Bobcats dropped a 48-16 Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference matchup to the visiting Karns City Gremlins, on Wednesday (January 4th).

Clarion led 7-4 after the first, but Karns City had a 24-6 second quarter edge, to take a 28-13 lead into the half. The Gremlins outscored the Bobcats 10-3 in the third, for a 38-16 lead heading to the final stanza, where they tacked on another ten points to set the final.

Alivia Diehl and Natalie Durish each had four points for Clarion. Taylor Alston and Sophia Babington had three points each, with Babington’s coming on a three-point bucket, and Marley Kline had two points.

Brooklyn Taylor led Karns City with fifteen points. Chloe Fritch followed with thirteen.

Clarion is scheduled to travel to Moniteau on Friday (January 6th).
