Girls Basketball: Bobcats Down Berries At Home
The homestanding Clarion Bobcats downed the Cranberry Berries 46-29, in KSAC Girls Basketball action on Wednesday (January 18th).
Leading the Clarion scoring was Taylor Alston with fifteen points. Two other Bobcats reached double-figures. Marley Kline had 12 points and Sophie Babington had eleven. Two of Babington’s baskets were from 3-point range.
Other Bobcats listed in the Derrick box score were, Avia Diehl and Natalie Durish with 4 points each, and Gia Babington with two points.
Clarion had an 18-6 lead after one. With both teams scoring 6 points in the second, the Cats held a 24-12 halftime edge.
The teams again put up identical points in the third, with 10 apiece, giving Clarion a 34-22 edge heading to the final stanza. A 12-7 Bobcat edge in the fourth set the final.
Jadyn Shumaker led Cranberry with ten points.
The Bobcats are set to host Redbank Valley on Friday (January 20th).
