Riversharks Turn In Fine Meet Against Clearfield; Three Swimmers Turn In State Qualifying Times

Clarion County YMCA Riversharks hosted the Clearfield YMCA swim team at PennWest Clarion’s Tippin Natatorium on Saturday January 28th.

Clarion had many swimmers with multiple first place, individual event winners including- Girls 15 & Up: Kathryn Fenske (500 free, 200 free, and 100 and 200 back); Girls 13-14: Callie Snodgrass (50 free, and 100 and 200 fly); Maggie Snodgrass (100 free, 100 back, and 200 breast);

Girls 11-12: Ashlyn Clark (100 free, 100 fly, 50 back, and 200 individual medley); Samantha Lewis (100 back, and 50 and 200 breast);

Girls 9-10: Aubree Conticelli (50 back, 100 free, and 100 individual medley);

Piper Hoover (200 free and 50 fly). Girls 8 & under: Addyson Space (25 back, 50 free, 25 fly, and 100 individual medley).

Multiple first place, individual event winners for the boys includes- Boys 9-10: Declan Kelley (50 Free, 50 back, and 50 fly); and and Boys 8 & under: Dylan Space (25 back, 25 breast, 50 free, 100 individual medley.

A lofty season goal for swimmers is to achieve district qualifying times to swim at the Pennsylvania West District swim meet held at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, OH.

Special congratulations to the following swimmers who achieved additional district qualifying times at this meet- Declan Kelley (50 free), Ashlyn Clark (100 fly), and Maggie Snodgrass (100 free).

The Riversharks have one more regular season meet, League Championships, Districts, and (hopefully) States to wrap up the season.
